Bitropolis is our new "virtual capital" in the underground of the 3D world Twinity - a unique approach to mash up the virtual with the real world. Members of the Bitfilm Network may become Beta testers of this new 3D community.
The Bitropolis city centre consists of a cinema, a gallery, a bar and a night club. Create your avatar, enjoy cinema screenings, meet other film makers and film fans. If you are a film maker or a 3D artist you may rent your own studio in Bitropolis (for free in the Beta phase). There you can invite your friends to special screenings. You may also create virtual objects (like clothes, sculptures or household utensils) which you can present or sell to other Twinity members. And this is how to get to Bitropolis: 1. Go to the Twinity Website. 2. Type "bitfilm" in the field "Signup code". 3. Create your member account. Please use the same e-mail address as for your Bitfilm membership 4. Download the Twinity client (sorry Mac Users: currently only available for Windows - which runs on the new Macs) 5. Go to "Places" in the tool bar. Search for "Bitropolis". Click on "Go". |
